Devil Fruits
Devil Fruits, mystical fruits that grant incredible abilities at the cost of the user’s ability to swim, are sought after by pirates and marines alike.
From Logias to Zoans to Paramias, the powers bestowed by these fruits are as diverse as they are deadly.
What are Logias, Zoans and Paramecia?
Paramecia
Paramecia fruits allow the consumer to achieve one of a large variety of abilities that enables them to become “superhuman” or perform a superhuman feat, these abilities directly tie to the fruit’s name.
Zoan
Zoan type of Devil Fruit allows a user to transform into an animal species at will or an inter-species hybrid.
Logia
A Logia fruit allows its holder to transform their body into an element of nature at will, as well as create and control vast amounts of it.
Devil Fruit powers can, in rare instances, achieve Awakening (覚醒, kakusei), significantly increasing the user’s abilities.
When a Devil Fruit’s power is awakened, the increased abilities have been seen to allow significantly greater power, more refined control, and new abilities that would otherwise not be possible.
Haki💪
And for those without Devil Fruits, there is Haki, a mysterious power that allows individuals to harness their own spiritual energy for various superhuman feats.
Observation Haki
Observation Haki is an ability that allows the user to have a sixth sense of the world around them, allowing them to sense the presence, strength, and emotions of other people, even if they are out of sight or far away.
It also grants limited precognitive abilities, allowing the user to sense their opponents’ intentions and predict their actions and attacks before they happen.
An advanced level of Observation Haki allows the user to foresee a short period into the future.🤯
Armament Haki
Armament Haki is an ability which allows the user to use their own aura as armour to defend against attacks, as well as make their own attacks more potent.
Armament Haki can also be used to bypass Devil Fruit defences, such as the intangibility of a Logia.
A person can apply the armament to a section of their body, over their entire body, and even imbue it onto their weapons.
An advanced level of Busoshoku allows the user to emit the armament a short distance without a medium.
A higher grade of advanced Busoshoku allows the user to make the emitted armament flow into a target’s body and destroy it from the inside out.
Conqueror Haki
Grants the user the ability to unleash their own willpower in order to overpower the will of others.
This results in victims being mentally overwhelmed by the user, with particularly weak-willed foes instantly losing consciousness.
Unlike the other types of Haki which can be learned by anyone, Haoshoku is a rare ability that only one in several million people are born with the ability to use.
As this energy manifests from willpower, it is theoretically open to all of the world‘s living creatures.
The vast majority of people, however, are either ignorant or unable to achieve mastery. Haki users are common in the New World, rare in Paradise, and basically non-existent in the Four Blues.
